A City in the countryside.
The combination of the city and the countryside is a true luxury accessible to all in the department of Haute-Vienne. Far from the busy life of Paris, this department offers high quality of life for the family combining nature and access to all the services a city provides.

Services for all the family

The assets of our region's capital : Limoges !

- Housing, at affordable prices and a wide range of offers.

- A regional hospital that came in the top 10 out of 560 in France (according to a survey in Figaro Magazine 2000).

- A young university, created in 1968, with a strong student population of 15,000, over 5 faculties (Economic sciences and law, Medicine; Pharmacy, Sciences and Social Sciences); School of engineers, renowned research institutes following the example of the Interdisciplinary centre for environmental law, and town planning adjustment (CRIDEAU).

- A technopole - ESTER - where are concentrated research and training . . . . .

- The infrastructure of Limoges, is ensured through buses and trolley buses. The department offers a 4000km road network.

- The French-speaking multimedia library, twinned with another in Alexandria, is connected through a network with 5 other libraries in the city. Built by the famous architect Pierre Riboulet, it won the national prize for architecture in 1981.

- The "grand theatre" and 5 municipal arts centres.

- A sport centre, providing sports such as, rugby, football, tennis, baseball, judo, diving, shooting and climbing.

In 2002, the magazine « Ca M’intéresse » carried out a survey on cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, taking into account: the quality of the air, water, safety and transport. Limoges came in 5th place above cities such as Montpelier, Bordeaux, Paris and Marseille.
